Dear Parents,

The only homework for tonight is study spelling and complete spelling page, if not finished in class. We will have our 3rd Pop the Top Party on Friday afternoon. I am so proud of their good choices. We will be going to see Prince Caspian on May 16th. We will leave school at 12:30 and return around 3:30. The cost is $6 per child. This will include a ticket, soda, and small popcorn. I will be sending home two permission slips, one for the movie and one for Chase Field. Please let Alicia know if you can chaperone for either trip.

We learned a fun new math game called Contig. The children seemed to enjoy something new. Perhaps they will challenge you to a game. Click on the site to pull up board game. The students will be required to read 4 more books this quarter. The books can be fiction books at least 100 pages in length. I do not want the children to read books that are based on t.v. shows and or have lots of pictures on the pages. These books are fine to read after the 4 books are complete. The books for the summaries need to be at their independent reading level, but also somewhat challenging. There will be no major book report this quarter do to various in-class projects.

Please begin reviewing multiplication 0-9. Your children should begin to know them like sight words. 5 minutes of flashcards per night will do the trick!
