Principal’s Message
St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association, a member of the North Central Association. Our teachers are certified and also have Religious Ed certification through the Diocese of Phoenix. Many of our teachers hold Master Degrees in Academic areas.
Our tuition for the 2010/2011 school year for registered active members of the parish is $4,350.00 for the first child with a $200.00 reduction for each additional child in our program. The actual cost to educate each child is over $5,454.00. The additional money is generated through the Parish Ball, Annual School Appeal, and the Scrip Program. The PTO and the Wildcats support the school during the year by providing assistance especially in the area of Technology which benefits every student. Your donations to the Parish Stewardship program supports the $1.000.00 scholarship provide to each student of a family registered in our parish.
Called to Protect Program
Please remember that all volunteers and parish employees must take this training every calendar year. This is a mandatory class which you must take in order to be a volunteer and participate in school programs and field trips.
All of our students in grades 2 through 8 participate in the Iowa Test of Basic Skills which is given in September in the classroom. Results usually arrive in October and are posted on this web sight with class averages posted so that all can compare their children’s scores with their class scores.
For more information contact the main school web sight or call the school office at (623) 935-0945.
