Dear STAGS Family, as the end of the SCRIP year comes to a close we, DeAnna Hancock and I, would like to thank all of you for participating in our STA SCRIP Program. We appreciate your active role in purchasing SCRIP, all contributions have and will always be greatly appreciated. It is only due to your dedication and conscience effort that this program continues to succeed. We realize that the economy of the past year has been burdensome on all, however, we would like to acknowledge your support and unwaivering dedication. To you all, we sincerely pour out our heart felt gratitude.
It has been a great adventure these past two years and the next school year will start with new co-chairs. Please help us welcome our new leaders of the SCRIP Program, Teresa "Diana" Rodriguez and Kelly Garman. We wish you the best, God Bless and happy summer to you all.
Thank you and God Bless

Ordering SCRIP Online
Thank you to those who completed the SCRIP survey. The SCRIP Team would like to share the results of the returned surveys.
Most of the comments were affirmations to the Team and all their hard work. Without our volunteers and participating families, SCRIP would not be a success. We would like the families at STAGS to know that even though the economy has affected all of us, we appreciate their choice to use SCRIP when possible.
Most families have enjoyed the “no minimum” orders during the school year. The “New” Team plans on continuing this for the 2010-2011 school year.
There were a few suggestions for a Friday sale date. Unfortunately at this time we do not have the manpower nor the funds to create a third inventory for a Friday Sale.
We did receive a few requests for a larger variety during the Weekday Sales (Tues/Wed) while most of the results were satisfied with what has been offered. Again, the larger variety is offered during the Mass Sales due to demand and fund availability.
A request was received for a larger variety of grocery cards. At present, SCRIP offers Safeway, Fry’s, Basha’s, Albertsons, Wal-Mart and Sprouts. We are unable to obtain SCRIP cards for COSTCO or Target. In these cases, we recommend purchasing an American Express or a Visa card through SCRIP and use it for vendors that do not participate in SCRIP.
I would like to thank you again for your time and consideration in helping make our SCRIP program a more effective and efficient program.
SCRIP vs eSCRIP
There has been some recent confusion on what eSCRIP is and how it helps our school.
First, we would like to explain that eSCRIP is not linked in any way to our SCRIP program nor is it applied toward your SCRIP obligation. It is by coincidence that they share a similar name. SCRIP is the program used by our school to purchase gift cards at a reduced rate and then sold at full value. The difference is applied toward your SCRIP obligation. We purchase gift cards through Great Lakes or directly from our local vendors (such as Sprouts). These cards are sold twice a week and during Mass. eSCRIP is a separate fund raiser.
eSCRIP is a program that offers a return of your purchases to be directed to our school. eSCRIP allows you to register your Safeway Club Card, Debit/Credit Cards in their program. When you register your card it reads your purchases and accumulates a monthly amount to be given to the school. Although it may seem like a small amount, if all our families participate in this program along with SCRIP, the small deposits can add up to large amounts.
Let’s say, a family purchases a Safeway SCRIP card from our Sales Team. When using their SCRIP card, the family uses their Safeway Membership card to take advantage of the sales. The school will profit from BOTH the 4% return from the gift card and a percentage from the Membership card.
Please visit www.escrip.com for more information and register to help build out the funds for our school.
