What does St. Vincent de Paul do?? More than you can imagine!
Our SVdP conference is a well-oiled machine!
Volunteers answer phone requests each weekday.
Deliver food boxes to those in need.
Visit families in their homes to determine if we can assist financially with rent, utilities, medications, and many other requests.
PRAY with these families giving help and hope to their crisis situation.
Our new SVdP “home” has two offices to carry out our work, a well-stocked pantry to answer needs for food boxes, and many smiling helpful volunteers who give of their time, energy and faith to those less fortunate….every day! The St. Thomas Aquinas conference is supported solely by contributions from our parishioners and other parish organizations. This outreach to the poor is solely supported by YOU….our St. Thomas Aquinas Family of Faith without government assistance.
With the cancellation of Masses for the duration, we ask that you be as generous as always in leaving non-perishable items in our cart in the church vestibule when you go to “spend a few minutes with Our Lord” during church open hours. Our Fifth Sunday collection cannot be taken up on the weekend of March 28-29th so we are praying you can leave your contribution in the locked box at the entrance to the church and STA staff will see that your donation gets to us.
If you know a Vincentian volunteer, pass it on to them. If you would like to become a SVdP volunteer, please call our office: 623-535-9455. Also remember that the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store at 1450 North Dysart is accepting donations of clothing and household goods. To schedule a pickup, please call: 602-254-3338. If you would care to volunteer at the store, please call 623-248-5500.
Let Us All Pray for One Another, Our Church, Our Community, Our Country, Our World!
